Series offers greater stability and center of gravity adjustability in three different settings
Carlsbad, California (January 15, 2025) – Building on the generational technology of the new GT drivers and fairways, Titleist adds to its metalwood lineup with the launch of a new metalwood series GT1, GT2 and GT3 hybrids. The new series offers increased stability and forgiveness as well as new flat weight adjustability, giving builders and golfers greater control over center of gravity (CG) position to adjust ball flight and launch conditions. All three models are uniquely designed for different player configurations, offering higher inertia settings than the previous generation and refined shapes for improved playability.
The new GT1 hybrid is the longest-running model in the range and features Lightweight, high moment of inertia configuration and New front and rear weight settings Control launch conditions. New GT2 hybrid features Delicate, playable shapes and Highest overall MOI Across the lineup, they serve as a long iron alternative with excellent forgiveness and stability. GT1, GT2 and GT3 hybrids will be February 4 and will be available in golf stores worldwide early in the year February 21st.
High MOI design
“When we set out to improve our hybrid product line, one of the first things we considered in terms of design goals was stability,” said Tom BennettPrincipal Product Manager, R&D, Titleist Metalwood. “Mixed forgiveness is especially important because for most players these are scoring clubs. Eliminating excessive distance drop is a huge benefit, not just off the tee but probably even more so when approaching the green.
By comprehensively improving the MOI design, higher stability is achieved. The GT1 Hybrid offers dual heart positions and new front and rear weight adjustability, resulting in a 5% increase in MOI compared to the TSR1 Hybrid, which is heavier at 11 grams in the rear position. The weight can be flipped to the front to reduce launch and spin, but it's still an ultra-high MOI setup with similar inertia characteristics to the TSR1. The GT2 Hybrid has the highest total moment of inertia in the range, with a 10% increase in moment of inertia compared to the TSR2, while the GT3 Hybrid has a 15% increase in moment of inertia over the TSR3 despite being 6% smaller. The result is Titleist's most stable and forgiving hybrid lineup to date.
New CG adjustability
“The next question we asked ourselves during the design process was, 'How do we really optimize player performance?'” Bennett said. “We want golfers to unlock the best performance from these models through the fitting process. With front and rear adjustable weighting on the GT1 and heel and toe adjustable weighting on the GT2 and GT3, we’ve added a wealth of customization features to each model that will Goes a long way in adjusting launch conditions and ball flight.
The CG position in the stock settings for all three models is controlled by the position of the 11-gram flat weight and the 5-gram flat weight. In the GT1, the 11-gram weight is in the rear position and the 5-gram weight is in the front position. When the weight is flipped, golfers can unlock the lower-launch, lower-spin GT1 hybrid setup.
The GT2 and GT3 hybrids offer a heel-toe weighting system, with the neutral stock setting placing 11 grams of weight at the heel and 5 grams at the toe. Flip the weights and place the heavier weight on the toe and the lighter weight on the heel. This will create a more slice-biased setup and align the center of gravity with the toe side of the clubface at impact. With a little alignment, many players tend to hit the ball in that position. Aligning the center of gravity with the player's typical hitting position during the fitting process optimizes performance by unlocking significant ball speed gains along with higher launch, lower spin and straighter ball flight.
In addition to the standard 11-gram and 5-gram flat weights, riggers are equipped with 3-gram, 7-gram, 9-gram, and 13-gram weights for greater control over CG settings. have Six different weight combinations Total standard head weights range from 13 g and 3 g settings for the most significant center of gravity shifts to 9 g and 7 g settings for the smallest shifts.
Total head weight can be customized from -6g to +6g, or in 2g increments.
Exquisite shape
All three new GT hybrid models have had their shapes modified to improve performance. The GT1's face is longer from heel to toe than its predecessor, helping to maintain speed and increase forgiveness on off-center hits. Inspired by feedback from Tour players, the GT2 has a sleeker profile than the TSR2 and features a flatter leading edge that is flush with the turf, similar to GT fairways. The GT3 has a smaller footprint than the TSR3 and, like the GT2, has a flatter leading edge, which aids playability on the grass and improves performance on low-impact shots.

The GT1 is the highest model launched in the series, offering tremendous forgiveness and playability for players looking for increased flight and mid-spin performance. Its lightweight configuration is designed to benefit players with moderate swing speeds and is available in standard versions via custom orders. New front and rear flat weight adjustments give bodybuilders and golfers more control over launch and spin, and the GT1 delivers an exciting hitting stance.
The GT1 hybrid also features a 0.335-inch tip section to accommodate fairway shafts. Fairway clubs hit the ball softer and have a higher balance point than hybrids, helping to achieve high launch and reduce swing weight. The GT1 Hybrid is also available via custom order with a 0.370-inch tip section and the same hybrid shaft options as the GT2 and GT3.

GT3 hybrid
GT3 models offer excellent practicality and forgiveness along with mid-to-high ball flight. It has a smaller, more iron-like profile, but the GT3's improved perimeter weighting significantly increases MOI compared to the previous generation. The GT3 features the same heel-toe adjustability as the GT2, giving bodybuilders and golfers the opportunity to optimize their weight settings.
