Well, the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy schedule has been announced, and now the announcement of the 2025 IPL start date has excited fans. A report by ESPNCricinfo suggests that IPL 2025 will kick off on March 21 and Kolkata's iconic Eden Gardens will host the tournament opener and final on May 25, 2025.

It is reported that the Indian Premier League plans to expand the number of games in 2026 and 2027, increasing the number of games to 94 in the last year of the media rights cycle.

Mumbai, Bengaluru, Vadodara and Lucknow to host WPL 2025
On the other hand, BCCI has expanded the list of venues for the upcoming Women’s Premier League 2025 (WPL 2025). Apart from Mumbai and Bengaluru, Vadodara and Lucknow will also host WPL matches this season.
However, it is unclear how many matches will be held at each venue as the BCCI is yet to announce the schedule for the upcoming Women's Premier League 2025 (WPL 2025).
