India's bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah bowled one of the best shots of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 (BGT) to beat the Australian batsman in the fourth Test in Melbourne Golfer Travis Head. Travis Head's sizzling form called for something special and that's exactly what Jasprit Bumrah produced.

Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Thursday 26 December. Sex batting got off to a good start. Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne also scored half-centuries to pile pressure on India.

The incident occurred in the 67th over of Australia's first innings. Travis Head decided to shoulder the ball outside the wicket. Hyde thought it wouldn't seam in, but the ball seamed in and hit the top. The batsman must get out without adding to the score.

Marnus Labuschagne's expulsion triggers Australian Bureau meltdown

Australia resumed the post-tea session with a score of 2-176 on the opening day, with Steve Smith (10*) and Marnus Labuschagne (44*) remaining unbeaten. Labuschagne reached his half-century but was dismissed for 72 off 145 balls after an attempt on Washington Sundar.

Labuschagne's exit triggered a collapse of the Australian innings. Travis Head was dismissed after scoring just three runs in a partnership with Smith. Mitchell Marsh was also dropped with four consecutive defeats and Australia are priced at 246/5.

Smith and Alex Carey tried to stabilize the innings after a minor collapse. At the time of writing, Australia's odds are 279/5, with Carey (18) and Smith (62) leading the way.

Sam Konstas becomes second youngest Australian to score 50 points in test

Sam Konstas bowled Jasprit Bumrah thrice to put the Indians under pressure for the first time in the series, with Bumrah on 4483 The first six were lost in testing. Konstas showed no mercy at the Indian pacers, scoring a run in the first innings at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The scoring tempo slowed after the departure of Konstas and India struggled to break the developing partnership between Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne. The duo added 65 runs to the stand, with Khawaja reaching a half-century. However, Khawaja was dismissed for 57 after he missed a shot near Bumrah.

Earlier, Australia made changes to their XI ahead of the Boxing Day Test, with Constas replacing Nathan McSweeney. Scott Boland replaces the injured Josh Hazlewood, who had to withdraw from the third Test. On the other hand, India made one change with Washington Sundar replacing batsman Shubman Gill.
