Jets are still alive, shut out 4-0 in Game 5 – Hockey Writer – NHL News

The Winnipeg Jets ended the knockout in Game 5 of the second round of the series, shutting the Dallas Stars out 4-0, pushing the series to Game 6. After a disappointing effort in Game 4, it was the rebound they needed to re-enter the series.

For most of the games, the stars couldn’t bear much progress in terms of ongoing offensive pressure, and when they did, Connor Hellebuyck was there to slam the goal.

Game review

After a first stage in a game but no score, the Jets were the ones who went on strike for the first time in Game 5. Mark Scheifele slid to the star’s net in a strange man sprint, hoping to find his teammate, but instead shut him out, instead defeating star defenders Thomas Thomas Harley and Jake Oettinger to beat Jake Oettinger 1-0.

The Jets led the lead with a powerful goal from Nikolaj Ehlers in the early stages of the third stage. In a five-on-three-pointer power play, Elles was able to take the puck ahead and slide over the Oettinger to get it 2-0.

Midway through the third inning, the Jets added another goal to the Power, this time in the second unit. Alex Iafallo retrieved a loose puck in the corner and found Vladislav Namestnikov flew through the slot with a great pass, and namestnikov didn’t misunderstand the score 3-0.
