Jets beat Blues 5-3 in Game 5 – Hockey Writer – Winnipeg Jets

The Winnipeg Jets remained unbeaten at home in the playoffs as they beat the St. Louis Blues 5-3 in the Canadian Living Center.

Kyle Connor, Nino Niederreiter, Dylan DeMelo, Vladislav Namestnikov and Adam Lowry scored for the Jets. Connor Hellebuyck saved 16 times.

Nathan Walker and Jimmy Snuggerud scored for Blues. Jordan Binnington made 21 saves.

Game review

At the beginning of Game 5, Connor scored his fourth playoff goal at 1:23 in the opening stage. Mason Appleton created a mistake from the back of the network, kicking it to Mark Scheifele, who passed it to Connor in front of the network.

Two minutes later, the Blues tied up the game in a tip goal from Walker and scored a Colton Parayko shot from Walker.

Niederreiter recovered the Jets’ lead at 8:39 with his own tip, shooting a shot from Dylan Samberg from the blue line.

Snuggerud tied the game again at 6:06 in the second stage, with Robert Thomas shooting from the bottom of the crossed puck in the offensive zone from the bottom of the right circle.
