Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho admitted he had a day of interest and a day of interest.
Mourinho admitted working in Scotland was an attraction for him as he was preparing to lead his side against the Europa League Rangers.
However, he clarified that he was totally committed to his current role in Turkey.
The 62-year-old was asked whether he could see himself in Scotland in the future when he spoke at a press conference before the first round against Barry Ferguson.
“At this moment, no, because I have a job,” Mourinho said. “It’s a job that inspires me and calls for loyalty. But why not in the future?
One can say that the Scottish League is a league of two teams, but it is a passionate league. The enthusiasm of football is everything.
“Nothing makes sense in an empty stadium and game without passion fire.”
Mourinho is also tall against the Glasgow Giants, who acknowledge their European heritage and a large loyal fan base.

“The Celtics and Rangers are two big clubs with an incredible history in Europe. I have a lot of respect. They are big clubs with large fan bases, expect.
“The Celtics have an excellent coach in Brendan [Rodgers]. The Wanderer now has Ferguson and I’m not looking for a new job. ”
Mourinho looks forward to facing Ferguson in his first European tie as Rangers manager. He suggested that the challenge may now be bigger than former boss Philippe Clement, who criticized Mourinho’s playing style after announcing the raffle.
“I know he’s a history of football players in Scotland and Rangers,” Mourinho said of Ferguson. “I don’t know much about his career as a coach. I respect the emotional connection between him and his club. It’s a very important thing, the connection between the fans and the coach.
“You can tell me that he doesn’t have much coaching experience in Europe, but I prefer to be on the positive side.
“It’s much harder for him than the previous coaches. Previous coaches are more worried about philosophy. Ferguson will be more pragmatic. It’s hard for us, but it’s hard for them.”
Mourinho revealed that Rangers fans are still grateful for his victory over the Celtics in the 2003 UEFA Cup final in Sevilla. The following year, the Portuguese coach continued to win the Champions League with Porto, but the first European victory was still important in his rise.

“Yes. Not much is here in Türkiye, although maybe it will happen this week,” Mourinho said. “Especially in London, some Rangers fans came to me. But, of course, this is my first European final.”
Mourinho also reviewed his early coaching education in Scotland, where he received a B license. He recalled his time on the Ayrshire coast in his favorite way, especially the atmosphere of Raggs.
“Largs Bar…a disaster. I’m just drinking sparkling water,” he joked.
“But it’s great. From a learning perspective and a human perspective. They were the biggest players in Scottish football at the time.
“It’s very good at coaching – sometimes badges are just badges, but that’s different.
“It was amazing for me. I went there with my college degree – I was still playing low but still playing. The coaching courses are different from methodological levels.
“After I was asked so many times by young coaches, ‘Where would be a good first step?’ I said they should go there.”
