future ryder cup captain
Rose, who is widely touted as a future Ryder Cup captain, said: “I love the challenge, I love the experience and the boys have made me look really good at it.
“The way they played was top-notch. We tried to hang in there and play wave after wave and got a big lead today and I think everyone thought we could get the job done.
“Match play is a power play where you need to hit those key putts at the right time. The margins are always smaller than they look on the scoreboard, but I think it's a tough one for all of us. What a confident way to start the season.
Ryder Cup star Fleetwood, who enhanced his formidable record in the team event by winning all four points this week, said: “It feels great obviously, we have an incredible group of people this week 's lads and an unbelievable captain, so it's just great to be a part of it.
“Everyone played well. I always find being in a team environment with the lads very motivating and inspiring, you want to get the best out of yourself. I'm glad we got it done this time and sure we will in the future Enjoy it.
