Ruben Amorim reportedly made it very clear that Alejandro Garnacho was no longer part of his plan.
Sources said Amorim’s frustration reached a turning point as he told Garnacho that he hoped he would find a new club before the start of pre-season training in July.
Amorim allegedly told Garnacho in front of the entire team, saying to Garnacho: “You better pray that you can find a club to sign you.”
However, the club declined to comment on any discussions in the interior locker room.
Tensions seem to have erupted after Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final in Bilbao.
Garnacho and his brother Roberto were reportedly angry with the winger’s late bench, where he played for less than 20 minutes.

“Obviously, it’s hard for everyone,” Garnacho admitted in St. Mams. “Our season is ***. We haven’t beat anyone in the league. We lack a lot of things. When you don’t score goals, you always need more.
“I played every round until we reached the finals. Today I played for 20 minutes – I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”
Garnacho’s brother added fuel to the fire, accusing Amorim of “throwing him under the bus” after the final.
Amorim is believed to have obtained approval for the club hierarchy at a board meeting in Monaco on Friday, paving the way for Garnacho’s departure.
By lunch time on Saturday, Amorim spoke in the media, saying insignificantly: “Everything I’m going to say, I’m telling the players.” But behind the scenes, he’s already told Garnacho to find a new home.
Despite Garnacho’s playoff trip against Malaysia and Hong Kong, as his departure seems inevitable, there is growing concern about the club’s ability to ensure its true market value.
United had previously valued Garnacho between £60-700 million, but with Amorim’s Ultimatum in the Open, suitors such as Chelsea and Napoli (both showing long-term interests) will be brave enough to negotiate a price cut deal.
