How will the Ryder Cup team handle things if Keegan Bradley becomes a team?

Bradley wants to join an American team that has been question mark for six months in the competition. Bradley is currently ranked 22nd in the Ryder Cup points standings, after Ben Griffin, Michael King, Tom Hogg and Lucas Glover.
The 38-year-old Bradley hasn’t untied his suitcase from the U.S. collapse loss at the 2012 Ryder Cup in Medinah. That was Bradley’s last time playing for the Ryder Cup team, but he hopes to change that this fall.
Should Bradley find sparks and win a place in the summer? Will he do it? Who would have played this role if he focused on beating Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Åberg or Shane Lowry?
These discussions were at least conducted by Bradley and his vice captain.
Brandt Snedeker, who will serve as vice captain this fall, has some knowledge of how the U.S. handles the situation at an introductory press conference for captains in the 2026 Presidents Cup on Tuesday.
“As for Keegan’s game, I think everyone on the team wants Keegan to be great and be a team,” Snedeker said. “I think that’s what the players talked very publicly, and they think Keegan is one of the 12 best players in the world right now in the U.S., and he needs to prove that and get into the Grand Slam in the summer.
Regarding who will be the captain in that case, we have four other people in the room now who are fully capable, and I’m sure there will be some collaboration between us, even if it will be Keegan’s team, even if he’s in the game, he’ll try to drive the assistant, even if he’s in the game, he’ll try to achieve that. The way he wanted to accomplish. ”
There is no Captain America in the Ryder Cup since Arnold Palmer in 1963. However, the general idea seems to be asking someone to have too many teams of captains and Become a part of it.
If Bradley becomes the team, Snedeker seems to believe Bradley will have to give up most of his captain’s duties to focus on the golf ball needed to beat the talented European team.
“Kegan talked about that,” Snedeck said. “I don’t think you can do both. I don’t think it’s possible to do both with just being the captain. I think Keegan might rely on Jim [Furyk]obviously, anyone will be in that room. There is a group of people who can strengthen and hopefully fill this gap. ”
Bradley said he would only join the team if he automatically earned one of the top six players in the U.S. points list.
As of now, the top six players are: Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Bryson DeChambeau, Russell Henley and Justin Thomas. If Bradley goes to the top six for summer runs, the program appears to be setting up a committee on the Bethpage committee.
It is not clear whether this will help, hurt or have no effect.
But it’s clear that Bradley is eager to be a team, especially after his performance at the 2024 Presidents Cup.
“The way he played in the Presidents Cup last year really showed that this guy was built for team games. He was a good guy in the team room. He played great,” Snedeck said. “The big reason we were able to pull it out in Montreal was the way he played. I think these guys love seeing him [fire]. They must see his competitiveness realization. They now think it’s how he is as a captain, and how he takes care of these things, it’s how he plays, how he’s captain and how he talks about it. ”
So far, Bradley has two top 10 and six top 25 so far this season. The 19th player in the world has performed well since Palmer in 1963, but if he succeeds, he will become the first captain since Palmer in 1963.
“He has to play great for the rest of the year,” Snedeck said. “I know he will. He’s working hard.
