Just six years ago, Marcus Rashford enjoyed one of the greatest moments of his Manchester United career, with the British Rifles returning home from the penalty spot to send Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to the Champions League quarterfinals.
The United Academy graduate was once the withdrawal of Paris Saint-Germain and also scored again in Princes during the 2020/21 campaign, winning another famous victory for Solskjaer and Co.
It seems that the best part about the Ligue 1 seems to make the 27-year-old the best is that when faced with the Parisian costume, the forward again generates electricity – although this time in the Aston Villa’s color.
The Red Devil’s Escaper simply presents a simple display in the unai Emery in the middle, as Villa’s third night gives Villa’s third night when the owner is about to encounter flip over his head. Actually, that’s old-fashioned Rashford.
For the villagers, they were frustrated that they were unable to make a comeback after a brave collapse, and for the Manchester man, such a great personal display could have made Ruben Amorim think twice as he decided to exile the £300,000 per week shooter.
But is it really in the best interest of all parties this summer to return to Old Trafford?
Why Rashford still needs to be sold this summer
As for Rashford, the decision to move to Villa Park in February was barely improved, with the Midlands still finishing the top five in the Premier League while also reaching the last four in the FA Cup.
The feeling of polarization has been at the heart of Emery’s plan in recent months, helping Ezri Konsa last night, with his total of nine goals since taking action. Is Jesse Lingard at West Ham United?
Rashford, who had emerged from the scrutiny of abduction and becoming a Manchester United player, looked like a triumphal and blue rebirth, saw him create a total of four big opportunities on Tuesday night – more than any other player on the court.
The show supports Emery’s decision to choose his loan star again before compatriot Ollie Watkins at center berth, while Villas boasts about the depth of attack that Amorim can only dream of – especially with Joshua Zirkzee now struggling with injuries.
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney spoke to Amazon Prime Minister, suggesting he “love” Rashford plays for the Red Devils next season, while also claiming that the player himself “hopes” to return to the dream dance.
That said, it wasn’t until December that England International had outlined Amorim’s ruthless shoulders that his desire for a “new challenge” would be difficult to see any kind of reconciliation before next season.
Indeed, why Rashford risked another stop-off campaign at his mother club after the villa found his groove – especially considering that three of the past four seasons have been overwhelming for him with a Manchester United shirt.

As for the club itself, the opportunity to pay £40m (representing pure profit) from Villa is undoubtedly hard to refuse, which for everyone, is perhaps the best choice for permanent separation this summer.
That said, even if Amorim and Co does change their minds, at least they only choose Rashford loans to date and also have the option to live on the dining table. No one can say the same thing to Ineos let go…
Manchester United may have made a bigger mistake than Rashford
It seems to be a growing theme, and those players leaving Old Trafford have continued to shine elsewhere, although the club is largely right.
Indeed, as far as Anthony Elanga is concerned, Swedish Speedster scored just four goals in 55 games at United before heading for Nottingham Forest. Meanwhile, David de Gea was his mistake in the FA Cup final, and he was the number one for the public enemy when allowed to have nothing.
Similarly, the likes of Anthony and Jadon Sancho (now on loan at Real Betis and Chelsea) have barely pulled up any trees after their £86m and £73m respectively, with the two scoring just 24 goals in 179 matches.
Even Rashford experienced a tragic pain 18 months after the start of the 2023/24 campaign, when there were few Red Devils persuasive competing with any exports at the time.
However, as far as Scott McTominay is concerned, it’s likely a different story, with the Scottish star actually being part of Erik Ten Ten Hag last semester before locking up £25m in the summer to move to Napoli.
Indeed, the 28-year-old was a Dutch rescue bill, who repeatedly delivered the goods in offensive sense, while the crossover midfielder won support against Brentford’s death, especially in death – named ten goals in all games after him.
McTominay, the third-highest scorer at the end of 2023/24, appears to be thriving in the senior midfield berth, despite willingness to comply with PSR regulations and pursuing midfielder, Manuel Ugarte, led Ineos to decide on cash.
Since then, Ten Hag admitted he “didn’t want” to sell the 6-foot-4 Giant, but was almost “forced” to agree to the decision due to the club’s financial constraints.
Turns out, McTominay has so far been praised by analyst Ben Mattinson in Naples in 2024/25 – especially with the last purging twice to keep Antonio Conte’s title in the title battle.
These latest strikes – both of which were assisted by Romelu Lukaku, showcasing no less than the full content of the Lancaster-born hero. Indeed, McTomini was charged before rolling home from outside the area on his first night. In his second inning, the former Red Devil skillfully returns home after a towering defense.
Now, the emerging Naples feel has eight Serie A goals on the name of the season, and only Bruno Fernandez can match that statistic with Manchester’s league goals.
McTominay then left where he last semester Next, Ineos made a rare move by selling a player who was actually in form – unlike Rashford who was exiled.
Now, the bold call seems pretty good as the Red Devils’ worst Premier League campaign ever.
