Leeds can land his own Florian Weltz by signing “Outstanding” $33 million “Outstanding”

Leeds United will be in the transfer market after being in a huge championship title success again next season, and they are now a small fish in a big pond.

While whites may splash cash to strengthen their roster to avoid instant Premier League relegation, they will not be able to compete with the division’s top teams as they do in the second tier.

Currently, the biggest trend transfer story in the Premier League is perfectly illustrated, with the champions lined up for European superstar moves.

Liverpool is working to close a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen to attack midfielder Florian Wirtz for 150 million euros (£125 million), while Fabrizio Romano added that German International wants only “just want” the Reds.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has provided 16 goals and 14 assists for all matches on the German side in 2024/25 and is likely to compete in the Premier League with Arne Slot’s team next semester.

A new offensive midfielder may also be the Leeds who headed to the summer window after Brenden Aaronson’s struggles in the championship game, but they won’t be on signings like Wirtz.

Why Leeds need a new offensive midfielder

Why Gabriel Sara can be Florian Wirtz of Leeds United

While Sara won’t be a true European superstar like the German sensation, nor will she be like over £100 million, he may be the club’s own mini-version of Wirtz.

Like the Leverkusen Wizard, the former Norwich City star is a versatile attacking midfielder who can play in the midfield or on the left wing and has the ability to base his goals and assists on a regular basis.

Last season, Sara proved that he could get Wirtz-style figures in the last third of the central or offensive midfield role during last season’s championship game against the Canaries.

Sara was praised as “outstanding” by former boss David Wagner, who proved that he could regularly score great goals at the top of the court, as Wirtz did against Leverkusen.

The 25-year-old star won his move to Turkish giant Galatasaray in Norwich, who helped them win the league in their first year at the club.

As you can see in the table above, his goal sheet has dropped for Galatasaray, but he retained his outstanding creative qualities, creating 12 “big opportunities” this season.
