According to France’s Daily Ekp, Virgil van Dijk received a lucrative proposal to join the Saudi Arabian side.
The Liverpool captain canceled the contract at Anfield at the end of the season and has been free to talk to clubs abroad since January 1.
L’Equipe said Van Dijk is considering the deal, worth £320,000 a week.
The 33-year-old is one of Liverpool’s three main players and their contract expires in the summer with Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold may join Real Madrid for a free transfer, while Salah’s future is uncertain.
Van Dijk says he’s in the dark
Van Dijk spoke in his own case after he eliminated Liverpool’s Champions League at Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, insisting that he has no idea where to play next season.
He told the Times: “I don’t know. I still don’t know. Really, I don’t know yet.
“It’s not put on hold. Nothing. Just…I keep saying the same thing.
“Listen, there are 10 games to go, and that’s all my point. If there is news, you’ll know. I don’t even know myself. Everyone knows there’s some conversation behind the scenes, but that’s all.
“At the moment, I don’t even know what will happen next year. If someone says they do know, they’re in your face.”

Wembley’s next step to date is Liverpool and Van Dijk
Liverpool’s next is Sunday’s EFL Cup final against Newcastle, and Alexander Arnold may miss out on his injury.
The Premier League also ranked first at the top, with Arne Slot’s side also scoring 15 points, and Van Dijk insists there is still a lot to do.
“There are 10 games left, not many, we can still win two grand prizes,” added the Dutchman, who joined Liverpool from Southampton in January 2018.
“We will give our all. We must be disappointed [PSG] But from now on, it’s about recovery.
“If we bring that intensity with fans at Wembley, then I’m pretty sure. I’m always positive. But I’m really looking forward to getting back there.
“We don’t need any extra motivation. We have 10 games. The EFL Cup final will be on Sunday – if you need any extra motivation, you’re in the wrong business.
“All fans want to celebrate [winning] it. But it will be difficult. Any final is difficult. I’m really looking forward to it.
“We are not here [the Champions League] competition. That’s normal, human. Recover and focus completely on Sunday. That’s our job and we need our fans to serve us there. ”
