Al-Nassr 3-0 Esteghlal-Ronaldo and Duran score in victory

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a penalty, while former Aston Villa striker scored twice as al-nassr beat Iranian side Esteghlal to the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League.

The Saudi side quickly took the lead after a meaningless first leg draw in the first round that Ronaldo missed.

Colombia forward Duran grabbed Hosseini’s loose pass, and he bounced the ball home during class.

Ronaldo approached with a free kick and then buried the penalty won by former Liverpool striker Sadio Mane.

Esteghlal has a mountain to climb and it gets steeper before the break when Mehran Ahmdi is sent for the second bookable attack.

This made any sting stand out from the tie, and after Ronaldo’s two approaches, Duran did find his third goal of the night, converting Angelo’s pass from close range.

Al-Nassr has never won the AFC Champions League and will find opponents in the last eight games in the draw on Friday, March 14.

Ronaldo won the European Champions League five times – Manchester United in 2008 and Real Madrid in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
