Liverpool enters the game and signs £50m heir to Van Dijk

When Liverpool renewed Virgil Van Dijk’s contract, they weren’t just linking the star’s defender to a new two-year contract.

Van Dijk is more than just a world-class centre-back. He was even an unparalleled captain. Dutch idols have surpassed his position as one of Liverpool’s star players, who is immortal in Liverpool’s legend, right alongside Alan Hansen.

Yes, yes, he is 34 next month. And, yes, Liverpool needs to be more cautious when managing the captain’s few minutes to reach the fall of his outstanding Premier League career.

But Van Dijk leads by example, it’s on and off the court. He is more than just a defender. He is a force of leadership and excitement. Watch Liverpool on TV and you’ll hear 6-foot-4 4 stars dodge their teammates and leave the tunnel and switch them to gears.

Liverpool's Arne Slot and Virgil Van Dijk

Let’s enjoy him as much as possible, as FSG’s transfer head Richard Hughes is already working hard to secure the efforts of a long-term heir.

Liverpool signs the next Van Dijk effort

Dean Huijsen is written in the stars to replace Anfield’s Van Dijk. After a stunning breakthrough campaign in Bournemouth last year, the 20-year-old became one of Europe’s most popular young players, and was welcomed for its tremendous potential.

Van Dijk left Southampton to sign Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, while Huijsen could have followed a similar path, each one proved on it. Additionally, Huijsen, though a Spanish international, was born and raised in Amsterdam to Dutch parents and then moved to Spain at the age of five.

For the player, it felt like a perfect move to move to Liverpool and imitate one of his generation’s greatest defenders – technically a countryman.

Well, Real Madrid is clearly blind to such a poetic story as they put the Premier League game aside to activate the prodigy’s £50m issue clause and take him home.

Arne Slot still needs a new central defender, and although Huijsen is a unique talent, it has aroused vested interest for Liverpool in the past and may have an alternative.

Liverpool enters the game of new central defender

Yada Yada, Huijsen’s standout, but he isn’t the only talented centre-back who hopes to take the next step in his career.

According to Portuguese media O Jogo, Liverpool is interested in the frequent relevance of dynamic defenders over the past few years and is interested in 23-year-old Goncalo Inacio of Lisbon.

The left-footed defender has a €60 million (£50 million) release clause in his contract, but suitors are optimistic that they can design a more pleasant number.

But with Manchester United and Newcastle United also considering interest, they will need to raise the ante if FSG wants to find the right long-term Van Dijk heir.

Goncalo Inacio will bring to Liverpool

Inacio has not yet been far from his Portuguese homeland, but he hasn’t done so badly in Portugal, showing up 213 sports since graduating from their academy.

Reporter Antonio Mango As Whoscored recorded, Inacio has completed an average of 89% of his average passes in high school to confirm Inacio’s “crazy” range, which is confirmed by the data.

Furthermore, Inacio’s aerial ability shows that in this regard he can offer a similar level of ability to Huijsen, the timing of Huijsen’s shelf and calmness that could achieve the expert, which was beyond his expectations when he was at the boots of Van Dijk at Liverpool.

His modern hygiene style is exactly what Liverpool is looking for, and he is the left-side centre-back. To add more substance to the argument, this is a player who has been tracked by Liverpool for years and he will only get better and better.

Inacio, a two-time La Liga Portugal champion, has developed a perfect mindset for Liverpool’s first team and he also has the skill level that most other central defenders in Europe can only dream of.

Most, but not all. Huijsen can certainly throw away the Portuguese ace in this regard, and when fighting each other you will see that both have similar qualities.

Huijsen is a powerful defender, but his range of passes and creativity, his ability to play in the lines, is the aspect of defining him as a future superstar.

Inacio may outperform him in this respect, if it were in the Liverpool system where slots were flying high, you could only imagine the progress he could make, followed by the likes of Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch, which made amazing progress under the Dutch wings.

Additionally, Inacio made only one defensive mistake in his 28 top-tier matches last semester, while Huijsen played four games for Bournemouth in the Premier League, despite playing at higher levels under higher and stricter conditions.

Portuguese defender Goncalo Inacio

He is not perfect, but the Portuguese International has an elite defender who can prove the dream huijsen alternative if signed this summer, learn from Van Dijk for the next few years, then get out of the shadow of the red legend and become a sensation under his own rights.
