The report shows that Modric and Milan have settled under personal terms. The deal was reportedly reached in early June (not long before the start of the U.S. Championships).

“The fact that he is an AC Milan fan makes this story even more exciting, and for him, having a great season at the end of the season is the World Cup.
Even though he turns 40 on September 40, Modric is still in his best form and hopes to compete in the World Cup next summer.
At the end of his 13-year career at Real Madrid, he left the Spanish Giants for an impressive 28 major trophys.
At the same time, Milan is also close to adding midfield partners with Modric.
The club has reportedly reached personal terms with Bayer Leverkusen’s Granit Xhaka, although the final agreement with Germany has not yet reached a transfer fee.
