United has wasted a lot of cash over the past few years, spending £600 million on new members in the Erik Ten Hag era alone.
In the summer of 2023, the hierarchy decided to provide Premier League team Chelsea with a £60m signature as the club hopes to strengthen the midfield division.
Such transfer fees undoubtedly caused great excitement for the move, but ultimately, his first year in the Northwest was a disaster, plagued by constant injuries.
He was limited to 14 league appearances and recorded a goal, but Ruben Amorim handed a new life lease to former The England International in November.
However, he has been missing since the Manchester derby in December, with another player gaining minutes on the first team due to injured layoffs.
Casemiro’s Manchester United Statistics
United paid £70m for Brazilian midfielder Casemiro’s signature in the summer of 2022, but despite being impressed in his Premier League debut, he has been in a huge struggle in recent months.
The 33-year-old has made 14 presentations since the manager arrived, many of which are due to injuries suffered in recent months.
During his time in Manchester, he registered 15 goals and despite his decline, he often appeared in critical periods – including in the Calabar Cup final against Newcastle United a few years ago.
His current deal at Old Trafford has another year, expiring him to 34, and if an experienced person cannot move him away from the book this summer, the experienced person will likely set out.
Given his pedigree, he offers a reason for excitement for the fan base, but his lack of positive performance has stumbled on his market value – now being below one player leaving the Red Devils.
The former Manchester United player is now more than Casemiro
Given the huge spending over the past few years, the Red Devils always had to uninstall numerous players to balance books and prevent any financial impact.
Scott McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are just two players who have been forced out of the gate recently to allow people like Amorim to splash cash and strengthen the team.
Another player who left the club a few years ago was academy graduate Angel Gomes, who ended his 14-year affiliation with his childhood.
He decided to move on to the new ranch, but he couldn’t get the game time he wanted, which was a shame, even though his first team made his debut at the age of 16.
Gomes, formerly known as “Supperb” by Talent Scout Scout Jacek Kulig, will turn England into France, join Lille, and then be loaned to the Portuguese clothing Boavista for the 2020/21 season.
The 24-year-old has been a key player in the Ligue 1 costume since his temporary spell to leave the club and has summoned more than 100 appearances earlier this season under Lee Carsley.
He created countless impressive numbers, helping Lille sit in the top five in the French league, while also helping them reach the Champions League knockout stage – eventually being eliminated by Dortmund’s Watermond.

His market value has soared due to his outstanding performance over the past few years and is now valued at £21 million by Transfermarkt – a figure that is well above Casemiro’s figure, which is as high as £10 million.
Given the price increase in Gomes since his departure from Old Trafford, it is safe to say that the club must want them to do more to master him and stop him from having nothing.
Midfield has been a real problem since Amorim arrived as he has been searching for a consistent partner for Bruno Fernandes, and the British have provided that for that if the club offers him a new deal.
