Former All-Star ‘Hate’ Playing with Celtics’ Jaylen Brown, now he’s one of his favorite players

A former NBA veteran doesn’t like sharing courtrooms with Jaylen Brown, but understands why this is the case.
Jaylen Brown is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. It’s strange about the dominant finals MVP, but it’s the truth.
He has performed very well over the past year. Brown challenged several All-Star games last year, and no one met him at that level.
While the Boston Celtics aren’t as good as last year, Brown admits that it’s not because he’s all done pretty bland.
Brown has developed into an excellent player. However, he didn’t like playing with Brown early in his career.

Jeff Teague plays with Jaylen Brown
Former NBA All-Star Jeff Teague talked about his time playing with Jaylen Brown on the Celtics. He noted that he did not like sharing courtrooms with Brown because the young star was so tunnel-scrutinized.
However, Teague does understand why Brown feels the need to take on all the offensive responsibilities. As a young player, he thinks he needs to prove himself.
“I saw how Jaylen Brown played. He talked a lot of trash with Tyrese Maxey. He was alive, a little different. Jaylen Brown slowly became my favorite player one.”
“When I play with JB, I always stay true, I hate playing with JB. He has tunnel vision and he tries to score.”
“You’ll be open, but I know what he wants to do, he’s trying to solidify the deal, he’s an All-Star, and the competition between him and Tatum was a competition.
Teague obviously didn’t compete with Brown, but was frustrated with the situation he was in. But, today, Brown is someone Teague respects very much.

Brown is Teague’s favorite player
Speaking further on the podcast, Teague noted that Brown and Jayson Tatum have been growing up as players since the last time they played with them.
He added that today, with the way he developed, Brown has become his nightly battle, one of his favorite players to watch.
“As they grew up, they got the biggest deals and are now a team. Everything is good. We’re all eating, we’re all superstars, we’re all doing all the NBA, all these good stuff.”
“Now, he’s competing for one of my favorite people to watch every day, he’s trying hard to kill outside, he’s guarding the best players.”
Brown has performed strongly this season, with an average of 22.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists and earned his fourth All-Star nomination this season.
