United are signing a new center in the market to lead Ruben Amorim’s line in the 2025/26 campaign, which could cause trouble for Old Trafford’s Rasmus Hojlund.
Rasmus Hojlund’s latest in the future of Man Utd
According to the FCINTERNEWS delivery, a printed version of La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Italian giant Inter Milan hopes to sign the Denmark International International Competition this summer to replace Mehdi Taremi.
The Serie A team, who is second in the league and is a Champions League finalist, “speeded up” a move to snap up the former Atlanta attacker from the Red Devils.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport added that Hojlund made it clear that he liked the idea of playing for Inter next season, but whether he would really push the transfer.
Media claims Inter Milan is working to sign him, obliged to sign permanently next summer, while United would rather sell it immediately to promote their vault.
Hojlund is said to be worth about £38m, and the Premier League giants are currently willing to spend money on new strikers, and the two clubs talk about deals that all parties are valid.
His exit from Old Trafford would pave the way for the new center to arrive in Manchester, though, and the club reportedly already focused on his replacement.
Manchester United signs Bundesliga forward in active negotiations
Manchester United are interested in a deal that signed the former French International Hugo Ekitike from the Bundesliga, according to Foot Mercato.
The report claims the Red Devils are progressing in active negotiations to bring former PSG shooters to the summer transfer window as they hope to improve their choices at the top of the court.
It noted that the Premier League accelerated a deal for the 22-year-old center after having a positive connection with deputies to discuss moving to Old Trafford.
Foot Mercato added that United also contacted Frankfurt to discuss the potential costs of Ekitike, who scored 22 goals in all competitions during the 2024/25 campaign and is currently feeling positive for all parties.
However, the media also indicated that Liverpool and Chelsea were also interested in signing French attackers and could offer competition for his signature.
This may be why the Red Devils “accelerated” the young shooter’s “acceleration” in negotiations with players and Frankfurt as they hope to win his service competition.
Analyst Ben Mattinson described him as “one of the best forwards” in March, and his statistics in the 2024/25 sports show that he will make a major upgrade to everything United currently has to offer.

As you can see in the table above, Ekitike outperformed Hojlund at the league level, both the scorer and the ninth goalkeeper, forming 27 goals and a “big chance” with Dane’s eight.
That’s why this new report details Manchester United’s pursuit of the Frankfurt Stars, which should be good news for Amorim, who could make a lot of upgrades to his offense if the transfer takes place this summer.
