ECCO’s new Biom H5 golf shoes.
ECCO
Last week, Ecco released its latest Biom family with H5, a sports shoe with a design inspired by the Scottish Highlands. (View cool, sturdy details on the outsole.)
How do shoes perform in real life? I liked three things that I tested.
Wear anywhere
The men’s version of the Biom H5 comes in three colors (white, light grey and dark grey), while the women’s version comes in two (white and beige). I tested the all-white version I like! I’m a guy who wears golf shoes in my daily life – school running, errands, dog walking, you can name it – so I always admire shoes that have a lifestyle appeal. Once I opened the boxes, I knew I would like them immediately and wear them on the route. Short, chunky, the only style merchandise detailed, traction is underestimated, but still super functional. No cleats on concrete!
Toe space
Anyone who appreciates the wide toe box will love the Biom G5. Thanks to the size of Europe, ECCOS tends to feel spacious for me (I’m the US 7, equal to the European 38, which covers our sizes 7-7.5). Thanks to one piece interior sock lining, you will feel comfortable no matter you wear socks. (If it sounds crazy, I live in Arizona, so sometimes I do not choose socks!) Plus, in addition to comfort, I also find that having extra space to swing my toes can also give me more sense of stability to the ball.
