Anaheim Ducks defender (and former New York Rangers captain) Jacob Trouba will face his former team for the first time when visiting the Honda Center on Friday night. Rangers have many key points to prove and must be key to the Ducks. In Friday’s game, the Rangers only sat two points in the Eastern Conference wildcard position, needing to return from the loss to the Los Angeles Kings and earn their first road trip victory. The Ducks felt hot after their final victory over the Boston Bruins 6-2 two nights ago and hoped to continue their dominant game style. Rangers are known for their physical teams, so the ducks need to use their own batsman to get the results they want.

Overtime lasted less than a minute – Mason McTavish blocked the hockey netists over New York, allowing the Ducks to beat visiting rangers 5-4. This is McTavish’s first 20-goal season and it’s a quarter-night for Carlson. The Rangers will head to San Jose to play a second back-to-back road race and hope to win before returning to Manhattan. The Toronto Maple Leafs visited the Ducks on Sunday and will try to continue their family victory.
