Sunderland Wonderkids, Chelsea Stars: 15 exciting champion teenagers

The champions have had some great youngsters over the years, from Jude Bellingham’s breakthrough sport at Birmingham City to Archie Gray at Leeds United.

The second floor again has numerous young talents, some of whom take advantage of the club loan deal in the championship game. Others are permanent members of the department’s team, and in Football Phantom we studied 15 of the most exciting tournament youngsters, aged 21 or under, when we’ve already studied writing.

Jobe Bellingham hopes to follow in his brother’s footsteps and has been named in Sunderland in recent years.

Bellingham, still only 19, swapped Birmingham to Sunderland in 2023, and the offensive midfielder is not far from the 100 appearances from the Black Cats.

To reach that number, Sunderland may need to advance in 2024/25 as this season may be Bellingham’s last championship in the championship game, which has previously hovered in the Premier League.

Chris Rigg is another exciting young Sunderland midfielder who will turn 18 in June.

Through Black Cats’ Academy, he has attracted serious interest from Manchester United due to his starring Red and White, and the Red Devils hope to build development for the future under Ineos.

Rigg has made over 50 appearances in Sunderland before his 18th birthday, and looks destined to reach the top.

An exciting right-wing player can continue to play for England, West Brom’s Tom Fellows turned into an assist machine in the 2024/25 season.

He had already won 10 title assists before the beginning of the year and was wanted by Everton in January. If West Brom fails to win the promotion, the researcher may become a wanted man again.

Midfielder Shea Charles signed Southampton in the championship game in 2023 and helped the Saints win the Premier League advancement on their first attempt.

However, the following year, Charles borrowed the second floor with Sheffield on Wednesday, making such a big impact in Hillsborough that rival Sheffield United was moving in January.

Charles was recalled by Southampton but then returned to Wednesday halfway through the 2024/25 campaign.

Wilfried Gnonto had an impact in the Premier League when he was already a teenager of Italy International signing Leeds United in 2022.

Gnonto, 21, has made more than 100 appearances for whites and has accounted for double figures in his target contribution to 2024/25.

Borrowed at Liverpool, Ben Doak was impressed by his first full season of senior football in Middlesbrough under Michael Carrick.

The winger has been a regular on the Riverside on the right, and like Gnonto, he is also a double-digit contribution to the goal.

Liverpool will certainly enjoy what they see from the 19-year-old in the championship game.

Luca Kolesho

Luca Kolesho swaps Espanyol for Burnley in 2023 and is part of the side that was relegated last season.

He did show his glimpse and won an early championship at Leeds United this semester.

Koleosho is still only 20 years old, can compete on any wing and appears to be the exciting attacker of Turf Moor.

Manchester City defender Callum Doyle is now away from Atihad’s fourth EFL loan spell, and he seems to be getting stronger as he hopes to be a regular in the Premier League.

Doyle is now at Carrow Road left-back in Norwich City and Johannes Hoff Thorup after spells with Sunderland, Coventry City and Leicester City.

At this moment, he may have been eliminated due to injury, but Sheffield United midfielder Ollie Arblaster seems to have a huge bright prospect ahead of him.

Blades Ace walked through the club’s academy and was a regular visitor to Chris Wilder, making 12 Premier League appearances last season. Arblaster even served as Manchester United captain several times on 2024/25, and then suffered serious injuries.

Wilson Isidor has been a major figure in Sunderland this season, but the Black Cats also have another exciting striker in Eliezer Mayenda.

The teenager scored his first goal for the club in Wednesday’s match against Sheffield in August, and he also contributed five goals in December and January.

Similar to Sunderland’s Mayenda, Mateo Joseph has also been playing the second violin in Leeds. Currently, the Spaniard’s backup is Joel Piroe, who has made a breakthrough campaign on Elland Road, and to his credit for scoring goals and assists under Daniel Farke.

His development has been attracting attention in his home country, and the real Betis received a big offer in the January transfer window.

Another exciting midfielder in Staffordshire is Andy Moran, who is currently on loan at Stoke in Brighton and Hove Albion. Moran is already the International Republic of Ireland, formerly on loan by Blackburn Rovers, scoring four goals for the Potteries in 2024/25.

He will seek to be the next person to break into the Seagulls first-team setup, where Moran can play an offensive midfielder, midfield midfielder or right rebound.
