On June 24, the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) hosted its second entrance draft. This draft admission made history because it was the first time PWHL Vancouver and PWHL Seattle were participants. Two teams are looking to choose their first rookie after Seattle won the player in the PWHL expansion draft. Although more than 100 women have declared the draft, only 48 of the eight teams have been selected. Let’s take a look at Seattle’s first draft course.
Jenna Buglioni becomes Seattle’s No. 1 Trial History
At the eighth pick in the first round, PWHL Seattle chose forward Jenna Buglioni. Even though she was the last draft pick in the first round, she was very grateful for Seattle’s choice. Afterwards, she shared on her personal Instagram: “The greatest honor of Seattle PWHL’s choice…Dreams come true, and I heard my name be.”
Buglioni has worked throughout her college career at Ohio State University. In the first three seasons, she played 97 games and recorded 86 points. Her personal best was her sophomore year, when she recorded 44 points. In her fourth Season, she was appointed as the replacement captain. She played 35 games and recorded 38 points with 15 goals and 23 assists. Buglioni became the official captain of his last season. She played 38 games, scored 17 goals, and scored 25 assists and scored 42 points.
Buglioni is an organizer with obvious leadership potential. She has proven that her total points can bring hockey online over the five years at the college level. Buglioni plays with people like Hilary Knight and Alex Carpenter and will hope to make an impact with Seattle in the first game of the PWHL.
Seattle chose the first goalkeeper of the night in round 2
Seattle’s second pick in the draft was off the norm. With all other teams choosing a striker or defender, PWHL Seattle chose Hannah Murphy, the first goalkeeper. She spent four years playing college hockey at Colgate University. In her first season, she played 22 games with a record of 17-3-0, with a goal against the average (GAA) of 1.49, and a percentage saving (SV%) of .930.

Murphy was the captain last season at Colgate, and it was rare for goalkeepers. She played 34 games and scored a 26-8-0 record with GAA of 1.86 and SV% of 0.939. Murphy learns from Corinne Schroeder and will begin her career in PWHL.
Seattle’s Boulsters offense, with two forwards in rounds 3 and 4
PWHL Seattle chose two other forwards in the next two draft picks. In the third round, Seattle chose Lily Delianedis. She spent her college career at Cornell University. She spent five seasons with the team but only four seasons. In her four seasons, she played 125 games and recorded 110 points.
In the fourth round, Seattle chose Jada Habisch. She played for five years at the University of Connecticut, played 158 games and recorded 94 points. She was also the captain of the last year.
By choosing these forwards, PWHL Seattle is setting itself up for a strong season.
Seattle adds defensive strength in round 5
In the fifth round, Seattle chose their first defender, Lyndie Lobdell. She played for five years at Penn State University, where she played 168 games and recorded 84 points. Lobdell is a player who has continued to increase his total over the past three seasons. In her final season at Penn State, she scored a career-high 21 points. She also recorded her highest free throw time with 42 points. If Lobdell continues to move forward in college, Lobdell may be successful in the PWHL.
Seattle went with another striker in the 6th round at night.
Seattle’s PWHL chose another striker at Olivia Wallen in the last pick of the night. She began her college career at Penn State University, where she played 82 games and scored 63 points in three seasons. To end her college career, she played for two seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, having 78 games and 64 points. Her best points throughout her college career were in her final season, where she recorded 40 points with 16 goals and 24 assists. It was an impressive score for the final draft pick. Maybe she will be able to continue this success in Seattle.
PWHL Seattle gains impressive talent
In the books, the first draft in Seattle in PWHL, the team has some impressive talents. With six draft picks, they chose four forwards, a defender and a goalkeeper. Although the Seattle team is already full of senior talent, this new rookie will definitely take a walk with the team.
The PWHL signature window is open on Monday, June 16, but is currently suspended. It will reopen on Tuesday, July 8.
