The new refined and highly durable finish pays homage to Vokey's popular Oil Can finish of past generations, which dates back to the Vokey 200 Series wedges. Helps achieve a rich copper color while minimizing reflectivity and maximizing durability. A custom copper-colored Golf Pride Z-Grip Cord grip matches the Oil Can finish, and features BV Wings and a Project X wedge shaft with a unique brushed chrome finish.
“When players look down, they have to fall in love with their wedges, and finish plays a key role,” said Master Craftsman Bob Walkey. “It’s important to have confidence in your wedge shots.”
All 27 loft, bounce and grind combinations in the Vokey Design SM10 Series (either right- or left-handed models) can be ordered with tank finishes through customization, with a selection of loft, bounce and grind combinations also available in stock.
Vokey Design’s SM10 tank finish will be available globally Thursday, March 27.
VOKEY SM10 performance and technology
Shooting Versatility: With the addition of 58.06K and 60.06K lob wedges, Vokey SM10 wedges now feature 27 different loft, bounce and grind combinations to suit a variety of swing types, playing styles and course conditions. Using the right wedges can help golfers achieve proper turf interaction and find the sweet spot (grooves 2-5), resulting in lower, more consistent flight and higher spin.

Wedge grinding instructions:
Distance and trajectory control: Vokey Design SM10 wedges feature an optimized progressive center of gravity position for precise distance and trajectory control. In the 46-52° model, the center of gravity is lower for better transition from the iron set and more consistent distance clearance. Based on feedback and testing from tour players, the CG has also been pushed closer to the center of the face, helping to eliminate excessive hook motion and provide a more solid feel. At loft angles of 54-62°, the center of gravity moves up and forward, providing a lower launch and a squarer face at impact. The loft-optimized CG delivers a more consistent, controlled flight, better feel and tighter dispersion from top to bottom of the wedge setup.
Maximum spin: Vokey's patented rotary milled groove cutting process provides score lines that deliver higher, more consistent spin on every wedge. The Vokey SM10 wedges feature TX9 grooves that are individually cut based on loft and finish: The grooves on higher loft wedges (46-54°) are cut narrower and deeper; Loft wedges (56-62°) have wider grooves and shallower grooves.
Parallel microtextures between the grooves help maximize partial shot spin, and a high-frequency heat treatment of the impact area doubles the durability of the groove edges compared to untreated grooves.
