The Vancouver Canucks bounced back-to-back losses against Seattle Kraken and Anaheim Ducks 3-2 on Wednesday night at Rogers Arena. Despite a strong start, the Canucks scored goals from Jake Debrusk, Teddy Blueger and Carson Soucy in the second phase, but led 3-1 in the second quarter and ended up winning their 13th game only on the home ice. The Ducks have scored records from Sam Colangelo and Brian Dumoulin as they lost only for the fourth time in their last 10 games.
The victory brought the Ganaks back to the Calgary Flames tie for the second wildcard, while the Ducks fell to six defenders. Here is your game review.
Game review
The story of the first period was John Gibson, who stopped everyone because Canucks called him 17 photos. The Canucks flew up and surpassed the Ducks 17-5, but Gibson couldn’t put a duck on it. He made several savings from Reel (and got a little help from his friends, posts, 10 seconds), including him making a back glove that saved his 19th place. The Ducks even left the opening phase 1-0 after Colanguilo got a lucky deflection in the team’s third game.
