Newcastle strengthens talks with £30million ‘monster’

Newcastle United expects to move from both directions in the summer transfer market, and Eddie Howe wants to make a savvy investment after qualifying for the Champions League.

While most Premier League rivals skate on thin ice on the PSR front, they should be able to stand out from the market without any loss, thus increasing up to four first teams.

Howe will certainly hope for a new defensive signature, and the Telegram has revealed a renewed interest in Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, who is worth £65m with a one-year contract left.

However, PIF may want United to conduct Shrewder signing, especially someone who can comply with the bill.

According to “Acatchment”, Newcastle is ready to pursue their pursuit of Monaco defender Wilfried Singo, who is also a target for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Talks are expected to intensify soon, given that more suitors in Europe want to get involved in Ivory Coast International’s 35 million euros (£30 million).

Wilfried-Singo

The 24-year-old has plenty of options if he leaves, but Newcastle’s interest goes back to 2022, so they might be able to lure him into the discount for St James Park.

Wilfried Singo will bring to Newcastle

Singo Rose is all here from the Serie A side, joining Monaco in August 2023 with a €9 million (£7 million) contract, and has since gained more and more power in France and has received praise from analyst Ben Mattinson’s “Freak Athlete” and “Duel Monster”.

Monaco defender Wilfried Singo

Sometimes, Xin Ge’s advantage is sometimes used on the wide side, but he is undoubtedly at his best in the central defensive level.

His gaze on goals and natural progress even tied him to FBREF as Real Madrid star Dean Huijsen’s most comparable player is in the top 1% of goals in the top five European leagues this season, accounting for 15% of goals and the top 15% of improvements, while the top 8% of improvements are every 90 improvements.

If the distance between the starting point and the next contact is at least close to the opponent’s goal or any completed free throw zone, the pass can be considered as progressive.

It becomes clearer when evaluating the respective defender metrics in the recently completed campaign.

Huijsen was in Newcastle’s radar after the BBC’s model season at Bournemouth, but when Los Blancos called up and activated his £50m issue clause, the Spanish star had only one destination, rejecting a lot of Premier League interest.

Given Hi pies’ desire for Guehi, it’s clear that this is a priority position, and Singo’s surface availability could lead to official in the coming weeks, rather than speaking being intensified.

Singo can prove to be Newcastle’s next season’s Newcastle version, providing the necessary quality behind it to ensure clubs can go deep into Champions League matches and challenge the position at the forefront of the Premier League.
