Amorim chases “really exciting” £67m UTD signature

Back in 2018, then Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho picked midfielder Nemanja Matic, and after beating Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup quarterfinals, the Serbian giants were described as “the island of personality and desire and control” and “surrounded by personality and desire”.

For new boss Ruben Amorim, there is nothing wrong with repeating the claims about his amulet captain Bruno Fernandes, who undoubtedly was United’s “island” in the Drab Manchester Derby on Sunday afternoon.

Absent from Amad Diallo since early February, the responsibility fell largely on Fernandes, causing things to happen to him, and the weekend deadlock was once again stalemate.

The Portuguese organizer, praised by Mutv Pundit Phil Bardsley, is “the best player in the country mile” who intends to try to direct the sunken ship to a brighter destination.

There used to be a “Harry Kane Team” – As Pep Guardiola laughed at Tottenham Hotspur in 2017, Manchester United now has the potential to be the “Bruno Fernandes team” unless similar signings can be found…

Latest information about Man Utd’s search for strikers

Now that the season has failed to score in 12 Premier League matches this season, Amorim and CO’s priorities this summer are certainly to strengthen the unfortunate forward line, and the 40-year-old may be eager to raid his former team, Sporting CP, to help restore his current ranking.

However, the Portuguese coach has missed Chelsea combined teenager Geovany Quenda, but reports are “unlikely” to reunite with a sports goal machine, with Viktor Gyokeres going to be held this summer.

A recent report from Givemesport has responded to this point, and the effect of the piece is that the “most likely big name” that arrives from Lisbon clothing is actually Francisco Trincao, not Francisco Trincao, not Gyokeres.

Giant money deals, controversial moves and big-name slippers. This is the hometown of football fans’ transfer news and opinions.

Indeed, the former Barcelona and Wolf Hampton Wanderers wingers are considered a “leading” alternative to incumbent Molineux star Matheus Cunha, and Amorim, who is looking for a new striker, has taken “precision” Trincao as a viable option.

The 25-year-old is said to have reported a £67 million release clause in his existing contract – said to be “solidly at the sight of Amorim” before the windows begin, and the Portuguese ace has proven itself to be a real weapon in his fellow countryman’s 3-4-3 setup.

Why Man Utd can target the next Bruno Fernandes

The experienced midfielder has achieved little to repeat the achievements of the Manchester United shirt in all games to date in 279 games, while winning the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

Signed from Sporting for about £46 million in January 2020, he proved his quality during his tenure with Liga Portugal, earning 113 goals and assists in just 137 games across all fronts.

Despite the more advanced roles of his international colleagues, Trincao (with ten caps for his country), is likely to follow in Fernandes’ footsteps, and was also shocked recently in Lisbon.

The tricky left-footed player has 61 goals and assists in 146 games, including a total of nine goals and 15 assists so far in 2024/25. Back at Old Trafford, only Fernandes ran out of more goals this season (33).

According to writer Zach Lowy, it was actually Amorim who “started a Trincao career in Braga” in 2019, and then reunited with him in sports, in-demand Forward registered 56 goals in 131 games under the existing joint boss total.

Francisco - Dow Wolf

While he does find life hard in Wolves’ Premier League – winning just four San Francisco in 30 games, he’s likely worth another crack, especially under a familiar face like Amorim.

Once technical director Scott Sellars in Molineux’s “Really Exciting Player”, Trincao apparently reflects Fernandes in his creative abilities, creating 14 “big opportunities” and averaging 2.2 key passes per game this season. Fernandes is for reference, and although he averages 2.5 key passes per game on top flights in England, he creates 12 “big opportunities”.

With the Red Devils’ captain recently falling into a deep seat, his creativity can be copied by one of the two former characters, helping to try out the forward game that has put the club in a difficult position.

Seeing the magic that Fernandes can cause in British football matches, if Trincao can make a small part of that impact, then United- and Amorim will win the championship.
