NHL Injured: Stars, Panthers, Predators, Penguins and Capital

Jesse Pierce: Dallas star forward Jamie Benn missed the roster yesterday with a low injury in the last two games.

Dave Hogg: The Florida Panthers didn’t have Alexander Balkov (upper body), Matthew Tkachuk (upper body), Sam Bennett and Sam Reinhart yesterday. Bennett and Reinhart were banned from rest.

“You want all the advantages you get, family ice and so on, but we have to heal these guys,” Panthers coach Paul Maurice said. “We have to give ourselves the opportunity to play physically in the playoffs, and our schedule doesn’t allow it now.”

Jameson Olive: Black Panthers coach Paul Maurice said Tkachuk was “still a road”, but on the same timeline. The playoff start date will be important.

They hope that defensive Dmitry Kulikov will be “right and ready” at the end of the weekend, and he is expected to be 100% at the start of the playoffs.
