Boston Bruins hire Marco Sturm as next head coach
Boston Brown Bear: The Bruins appointed Marco Sturm as their 30th head coach. Bruis GM Don Sweeney is on recruitment.
“We are honored to name Marco as the 30th head coach for the Boston Bruins and welcome him, Astrid, Mason and Kaydie to Boston. In the process, our goal is to identify a coach who can maintain our strong defensive foundation while helping us evolve while helping us grow. We are also looking for communication and leaders to connect with players – people who connect with players, develop young talents, and win young people, and win rooms and win rooms.
Marco impressed us with every step of his preparation, clarity and passion. His path – playing internationally for multiple NHL teams and leading at the AHL and NHL levels – has shaped a comprehensive coach who has won the opportunity. As former Bruin, he learned what this team means to the city and to our fans.

Shawn Hutcheon: “He has served as head coach during the AHL Ontario reign over the past four years. Prior to that, Sturm worked as an assistant coach for four seasons with the Los Angeles Kings in 2018-22 years.”
New York Rangers hire two assistants
Elliotte Friedman: Dave Quinn and Joe Sacco will be with Mike Sullivan’s coaching staff with the New York Rangers.

Vancouver Canucks adds three coaches
TSN: The Canucks did not bring assistant coach Yogi Svejkovsky, defensive development coach Sergei Gonchar and video coach Dylan Crawford back to Adam Foot’s coaching staff. They announced that they added Kevin Dean, Brett McLean and Scott Young.
