Arthur Staple of Athletic: The New York Rangers must wonder if anyone would offer K’andre Miller or Will Cuylle. But on the other hand, they may be considering trying to provide someone’s sheets.
One problem with the Rangers is that they handed over the 2026 second-round pick to Utah/Arizona three years ago to dump Patrik Nemeth’s salary. If they want to provide sheets in the range of $70-9.3 million, they will need to re-choose.
Buffalo Sabers JJ Peterka is a candidate because he wants to leave Buffalo. There was speculation between the two at the transaction deadline but was shot down by Ranger sources. Now, the interests of the wanderer may be legal. The Saber probably won’t come out of the $4.68 and $7 million offer, which will be first and third.
