Bukauskas: “Okay, let's move on to the contract discussion. Elliott, you mentioned a while ago that you could see Ty Emberson, one of the players who signed a one-year deal, now has Opportunity to re-sign The Oilers may have a path to a new deal with him.
Another name you want to mention is Eric Robinson of the Carolina Hurricanes. He signed a one-year deal. There have been nine goals already this year. Is he another name to watch?
Friedman: “I've always liked Eric Robinson's game. Obviously, he's not a guy that's gotten a lot of attention over the past few years. But me, every time I watch him, I've always liked him.
You know, you always look at a player. You know this, a few years ago he had a 10-goal season and then he had a 12-goal season and then things just didn't work out for him. He spent most of last year in Buffalo.
But you always see the kind of guys Carolina signs, as you mentioned, a half-point player who scores 20 points in 40 games.
Someone heard me talk about this on the podcast on Friday and they said you should, or whatever day we talked about it last week, all the days rolled into one. They said you should mention Carolina's Eric Robinson because obviously they like him. He's a loving guy and no one would be surprised if the Hurricanes extended his contract.
