Ron McLean: “Our second halftime headliner on Saturday. Elliott, let's start in Nashville.
Freeman: “Yeah, Ryan O'Reilly. When Ron signed with the Predators before last season, he signed a four-year deal. There was no protection, trade or relocation, no relocation. Terms etc.
There's been some speculation this year and I think the Predators have gotten calls about O'Reilly, he's highly respected throughout the league and people are wondering if he'll be able to play.
That's my understanding, Predator told the team. They say there may not be protective language in his contract, but he's being treated as if he has a no-movement clause. I think the Predators are more inclined to keep him because they want him to win, especially when they start to put the pieces back together at the end of the year and they also see him as a leader on and off the ice.

However, they would consider it under at least two conditions. First, the offer must be something that truly excites them. This really has to be a great offer. Second, it has to be something O'Reilly agrees to.
As far as I know, at this point, I don't believe O'Reilly has indicated in any way, shape or form that he is seeking a move. So for O'Reilly, A) this really has to be exciting for Nashville. B) He would definitely feel comfortable if things got to that point.

He was there and people started to wonder what was going on here. It wasn't normal for him to be on the road, but he played in that game and helped the Kraken down 0-2. Despite the situation, they fought back and defeated the Sabers 6-2.

“Vancouver, Toronto. There's a lot of noise around the Canucks. Basically, what I can tell you this week is the one thing the Canucks have shown Pettersson and Miller is they're not holding back on Western Conference interest. . Western teams that reached out were not told “no.” They are unwilling to trade any particular player to any of those destinations. But of course, still not sure how to set up the roadblocks, Ron.
