Does John Tortorella want to be fired?
Anthony Di Marco of Daily Stand-off: John Tortorella did not resign from the Philadelphia flyer and he was fired. A source said a series of events led to the final result after the transaction deadline.
Many of his people in the organization became more aggressive, and his antics were worn on everyone – players, coaches, managers and team members. Sources want to know if Tortorella wants to be fired.
According to sources, there is no guarantee that Tortorella will be behind a flyer seat next season, and there are speculations that the infringement will enter the management position.

Will the New York Rangers hope to coach next season?
Arthur Staple of Athletic: Peter Laviolette’s gaming system doesn’t seem to work in New York. Their core roster players showed several coaches that they did not make aggressive and block neutral areas. If they return next season with the same first 9 seasons, it might make sense to change the coach and use the other system.
Now, they have moved out six regulars this season and have dealt with injuries, so nothing can fall on Laviolette. Laviolette isn’t completely old-fashioned, but it might be better to find someone who is more friendly and related to them.
Their roster is a bit stable, so maybe GM Chris Drury made some offseason moves and gave Laviolette a shot.
It doesn’t make sense for David Carle and Cam Abbott if it comes to who they might consider. Drury likes Mike Sullivan, but he is still coaching the Pittsburgh Penguins. Do you want to walk along Joel Quenneville Road?
