Oilers make a dramatic comeback in OT beat Kings, even series 2-2-Hockey Writer – Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers won the series in Home Ice with a 7-4 victory in the third game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings on Friday night at Rogers Place. Game 4 took place on Sunday night (April 27) back in Edmonton, with the Oilers winning drama with 4-3 overtime. Here is your game review.

Los Angeles, like Edmonton did in Game 3, played hard on the attack, created some early opportunities and won the hook of Connor McDavid. When the King recorded the first five shots of the game in the process, the Oiler killed it and solved the problem. Then, eventually, with 9:25 left in this period, Trevor Moore stepped down the wall and snatched a goalkeeper Calvin Pickard from the Oilers to take the lead. In the second half of this period, some big chances occurred on both ends, and Los Angeles got another strong chance, but after the first game, the score was still 1-0 Kings. The third phase begins with Edmonton sending everything to Los Angeles goalkeeper Darcy Kuemper. However, they don’t seem to get anything early. Then, nearly eight minutes after this period, Evan Bouchard continued his recent scoring style, redirecting in the Kings players with a trembling shot. The leader has enough time left to cut it to one, which proves important for oilers. It took them until they had 29 seconds left to score. Overtime starts with a tense and defensive game, with neither team giving an inch. The closest chance in the first half was a Kuemper turnover on the dump that Trent Frederic had almost used. Finally, after Vladislav Gavrikov made a tripping free throw late in overtime, Draisaitl knocked a loose puck in the subsequent power match to end the game and ended the series in two matches. The last shot of the goal ended with a 48-41 record.

The series brings another chaotic game, which includes some solid performances. Both Kuemper and Pickard target savings of 44 and 38. On the Kings side, Phillip Danault stands out with a pair of assistants. As for the oil worker, the big dog is here. Overtime hero Draisaitl had one goal and three assists, McDavid had three assists, Bouchard had two goals and Perry had goals and assists.
