Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim said Andre Onana will score against Lyon on Thursday.

The Red Devils entered the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals 2-2 with France.

Many believe that Amorim’s team should return the lead to Old Trafford, but for Onana’s first round mistakes.

The show follows language from former UTD midfielder Nemanja Matic, who tagged Onana as “one of the worst goalkeepers in club history.”

“As a coach and a former player, I first try to do things that can help the player in this situation.

“We’re talking about managing players physically, but we also have to manage them mentally.

“We had a weekend and I thought it would be better for Andre Onana not to play, it was a good thing for Altay [Bayindir] Play. ”

Amorim also has no friendly question on whether United are looking for a new goalkeeper this summer.

Instead, he shifted the transfer, insisting that winning Champions League football is the goal for the next semester and that Europa League is the only way left.

He added: “I think it’s more about budgeting. It’s important when you plan for the next season, and the Champions League can change everything.

“But you can see in both directions. The Champions League is hard to play against the top teams in the Premier League on Wednesday. If we don’t have the Champions League, we have more time to build the team.”

Amorim also confirmed that Joshua Zirkzee will be eliminated for the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury.

“Joshua [Zirkzee] This season has been released. He won’t play more games this season, so let’s prepare for the next one. It’s hard for him, especially at this moment. He is improving in every way and it is difficult for any player to stop. ”
