Michigan’s February round – 120 winning streak

In the last week of February, it finally warmed up enough to melt the snow and allowed a round of golf.

This has brought my winning streak for several months in Michigan to 120.

For my round, I headed to the Huron Hills Golf Course in Ann Arbor, which was always open, or at least the next seven were always open.

Huron Hills is a design by Tom Bendelow, and its history dates back to 1922. There are seven holes on one side of Huron River Drive. Eleven – the hilly part of Huron Hills – on the other side. In winter, ten hilly holes are always closed.

Green costs only $5 for winter, and the city has a “Honor Box” (to the left of the photo). Of course I paid. On the golf course, no one needs bad karma to follow them.

Huron Hills is especially wet, with plenty of water accumulation in the area. The snow is still wandering around the attractions, especially those covered by trees or hills.

But, I’m ready for the muddy golf boots in Oregon. They are not the best for flexibility, but are warm and waterproof. They have screwed cleats on the bottom. Another pair of Oregon mud I have is a non-slip design, but has a high ankle. I think I need full boots this day and I’m right.

During the winter round, I never worry about my swing or game. Still, I think after weeks of layoffs, I’ve done a good job.

Only seven holes are open, so in winter the eighteen roads on Mount Huron are to hit 1-7, then 1 and 2. 1 – 7, then 1 and 2. One is 5-shot 5-shot, away from the club, and two are 5-shot , which returns to the right side of the club and the first T-shirt.

I brought a Sunday bag with only a few clubs. It makes it easy for surrounding puddles, ice and snow.

Usually during these winter rounds, I’m not the only one in the course. Today is an exception. Maybe that’s because the temperature assumes to reach the mid-50s tomorrow.

Winter is definitely not over, but I can see well-known light at the end of the tunnel. No, this is not an oncoming train. Next month we may be snowy and ice, but the weather will be steadily warm and the golf course will be busy again.
