On Sunday, June 1, Ottawa accused forward Victoria Bach of announcing she would retire from hockey. Bach has played in the Pro Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) for the past two seasons. She shared the announcement on her personal Instagram account.
Before she entered the PWHL, Bach played at the university level at Boston University. She was there for four full years, competed in 145 games and recorded 198 points. Bach also represented Canada in two World Championships in 2021 and 2022. In 2021, she played eight games and recorded three assists. In 2022, she played three games and recorded five points with three goals and two assists. Both of Canada brought home gold.
Bach was selected in the seventh round of Toronto’s inaugural PWHL draft. She played 16 of 16 of 24 regular season games in the PWHL Toronto, which was founded in the season. Bach scored two goals and recorded three assists for a total of five points. She also played five playoff games with Toronto in the semifinals and recorded an assist.
In the 2024-25 season, Bach continued to Toronto from the beginning. She played six games for the evidence in six games, but scored no points. On December 30, 2024, she was part of the first deal of her second PWHL season. Bach trades Jocelyne Larocque to Ottawa allegations. In exchange, the Scepter received Hayley Scamurra and Savannah Harmon. Bach played the remaining 24 games with a fee and recorded five points with two goals and three assists. Bach has played in eight playoff games this season, including four in the Walter Cup final. She did not record any points in these eight games.
