Palmeiras may meet with the Portuguese opposition when it begins the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup schedule for Porto, New Jersey on Sunday.

“It’s always been good. The group responded well to what the coaches asked for us.
“We are always looking for victory because that’s our achievements, and that’s our lives. We have to respect the history of Porto.”

According to Globo, Gustavo Gomez, Luiz Benedetti, Joaquin Piquerez, Emiliano Martinez, Richard Rios, Facundo Torres, Estevao and Luighi performed “load control” during Palmeiras training after joining the team in the late stages.
The media reported that Gomez, Benedti and Rios were “the most exhausted” and did not participate in “a work focused on defensive organizations and counterattacks.”
Goalkeepers Samuel Portugal and Goncalo Ribeiro have been late for Porto’s team after Diogo Costa missed a part of the muscle discomfort on the right thigh of the first choice.
Fabio Vieira qualifies after loaning out at Arsenal’s Estadio do Dragao last season, while midfielder Marko Grujic has been on a heel release since September.
