Brazilian winger Anthony has discovered new momentum since joining the real Betis, and head coach Manuel Pellegrini said the 25-year-old arrived in Spain and was determined to prove himself.
Antony was signed by Manchester United for 100 million euros, but only five Premier League goals in two and a half seasons.
However, he has matched Tally in Betis’ 17 Laliga appearances. He also scored four goals in the club’s impressive league matches ahead of Wednesday’s final against Chelsea.
Pellegrini spoke before the final in Wrocław, Poland, explaining how Antony was to prove Betis.
“I talked to him before he came to Betis. He told me he didn’t play because he was upset, but he also had a lot of complaints about what he did.
“He wanted to take revenge, and at Betis, I think he had, and he did it in the way we knew he could do it because you could easily play as a 100 million player.

“Anthony is a very good player. I’m absolutely sure it’s a tough time for him at Betis and can help improve his career.”
Anthony’s revival brought new sparks to Betis, but his long-term future still surfaced.
The Spanish club said they wanted to keep Brazil International forever, although financial obstacles could prevent this from happening.
Betis has a limited budget and their conference league ultimate rival Chelsea is in a different financial alliance. Still, Pellegrini is confident that his team can compete on equal terms.
“We don’t think we are David and the Giants,” Boss Betis said.
“I think we will have the possibility of winning the game tomorrow. We will try to do this from the first minute.
“The budget of one team or another doesn’t matter. In 90 minutes, we will have the same chance to win this game.”
Betis has a long history in Spanish football, winning La Liga in 1934-35 and lifting the Copa del Rey, the latest in 2022. But, so far, European Silver has avoided them, and in the end it was their first quarter-finals to surpass any European competition.
