After reaching the seventh straight FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday, Manchester City’s focus is now back to ensuring they will enter the Champions League next season.
With nine Premier League matches, Pep Guardiola’s side ranked fifth and thus took the final Champions League spot, but given that the five clubs were four points or less behind, they were far from staying there.
Manchester Derby will come to Old Trafford on Sunday, so sky blue beat three residents at the bottom in Etihad on Wednesday night.
When Guardiola aims at the three-pointer of the seemingly family banker, he should unleash the “quality” young man of Man City before Abdukodir Khusanov.
Abdukodir Khusanov performs in Man City
As track and field sporting Philip Buckingham noted, Manchester City’s other 19 Premier League clubs in January surpassed the other 19 Premier League clubs, about £180 million on five recruits including Khusanov, who arrived from the camera for £33.8 million.
The 21-year-old played for EnerheTyk-BDU Minsk in Belarus’ top division in July 2023, and the 21-year-old is already excited, in July 2023, the first Uzbek racing car 18 months later.
According to Jordan Campbell of Track and Field, the defender made his debut against Chelsea in January, “dumped into the depths” before making an all-around mistake in less than three minutes, his “unskilled” post-long gift to the Blues.
Fortunately for him, Manchester City roared and won 3-1.
After Manchester’s difficult start of life, Kusanov was voted for the club’s month player in February, and the club’s official channel has believed he had “grabbed the hearts of his supporters”.
Still, that didn’t save him from being evacuated in the half-time game of the FA Cup tie in Bournemouth on Sunday, while Manchester City’s goal was lowered and Kusanov was booked.

So while we advocate for Pep Guardiola to release a home-based youngster, it remains to be seen whether he will maintain his position in the starting lineup against Leicester.
Manchester City’s best replacement
Man City’s 2-1 victory at Bournemouth is largely due to Guardiola’s decision to replace Khusanov with Nico O’Reilly in the Dorset interval.
Within four minutes, O’Reilly placed the ball on the plate for Erling Haaland to equalize before taking Omar Marmoush’s title.
Guardiola praised the 20-year-old for being “outstanding” in his speech to ITV’s Gabriel Clarke after full time, adding: “He will certainly play in the semifinals” as his form in the FA Cup so far.
BBC Sport’s Emlyn Begley noted that O’Reilly is a “attack midfielder…trade”, but he is certainly versatile and he has been following for months. Perhaps the best source of praise comes from Steven McInerney, creator of urban content, who said: “Nico has the physical condition of people like Rice.”
Meanwhile, Guardian’s Ben Fisher stressed that due to his “seemingly bottomless energy”, a £29,000-a-week revenue “transformation” of Manchester City’s performance at Bournemouth, becoming a replacement for Sky Blues, which has received two assists for the first time since his Leeds in December 20021.
So let’s evaluate his statistics on the club so far.

As the table outlines, O’Reilly remains a new kid, playing over 550 in 550 minutes so far, while four of his ten appearances were another backup, making his debut at FA Community Shield in August.
Still, he has shown his qualities, the fact that he can play multiple different positions makes him a valuable asset to Guardiola, so when Leicester visited Etihad on Wednesday, we are sure that the loyal men city loyalists would be happy to see him win his first Premier League match in the Premier League.
