Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois admitted to having the opportunity to explain his Belgian boycott in front of the team and was “relaxed”.
Courois made himself unable to serve the Red Devils after former boss Domenico Tedesco ignored the captain in June 2023.
This stance sees him missing the Euro 2024 European Cup, but now he’s back to the valuation after Tedesco leaves and appoints Rudi Garcia.
Coutois took the opportunity to have clear talks with his teammates.
“When I arrived [at the training centre]it’s great to be able to speak in front of the players because there have been many wrong things,” Courteis told reporters on Tuesday.
“A lot of incorrect or incomplete information that some players may read in the media, which is not always accurate. I think I can explain how, what and why.
“And they were able to ask questions too. And, I could better understand why some players do have more difficulties.
“They may be disappointed that I didn’t help the team to get a good result at the European Championship. So, ultimately, all of this has been discussed. I think now we just need to look forward to what will bring in the future.”

I made a mistake – Cotova
He added: “Let’s stop talking about it. I feel relieved…
“I made a mistake. I probably had a tough time mentally. I’ve had a long and tough season [in 2023] Injuried. I think there is something wrong with the coach. ”
Courois, who had another great season in Madrid, said he felt respected by the Italian Tedesco.
“I don’t have any respect,” he said. “The coach has never seen me. I have never seen him 16 years later. I exploded at that moment because I don’t understand.”
Courois Garcia plans to bring Belgium back on track
When Belgium was on this international break, it started when it faced Ukraine in the National League relegation playoffs.
Belgium will then aim to ensure qualifying in the World Cup finals in the United States, Canada and Mexico next summer.
Despite the talented team, Belgium has performed poorly in recent games.
They crashed the World Cup in 2022 on Roberto Martinez’s group stage, and then Tedesco led them into the final 16 games in the 2024 Euro Oo.
