Phil Mixon admits he's a newbie.
YouTube, he said, was not the world he grew up in.
“I'm trying to learn as I go,” he said on a conference call last August.
Now? To borrow a phrase from the media, the polarizing six-time major champion and LIV Golf pro wants you to click and subscribe. He wants to give you a variety of options in the booming content space. After participating in a number of videos over the past few months, he said he would be committing to his YouTube channel this year, and unsurprisingly, he appeared in the YouTube video with PGA Tour pro Wesley Bryan Wesley Bryan revealed the plan during a game.
So what can you expect? Mixon said it would be made up of three “foundational components.”
— “Having fun 2-on-2 series with Grant Horvat,” Mixon said.
In November, on X, Mixon was involved in a potential four-way series with Horvat, himself a YouTube golf star.
— “I wanted to do a teaching component,” Mixon said.
In the film, he says he has renovated his backyard into “a real world-class practice facility where I feel like I can show off a lot of techniques and coaching.”
— “Then the third thing I want to do,” Mixon said, “is find some cool people that I’ve had the opportunity to meet and get to know over the years, whether it’s a CEO who’s turned the company around or an athlete or Someone who's done something unique and then really take them out into the yard and maybe give them some tips or guidance and then have coffee with them and ask them questions about their career, what was the turning point, who helped They, what's the best advice they've ever gotten that can really help young people get on the right path.
He said the channel will also feature three other members of his LIV golf team, the HyFlyers – Cameron Tringale, Brendan Steele and Andy Ogletree. Will these products become popular? The channel may have 205,000 subscribers, and the three videos posted so far have been viewed over 600,000 times. Of course, time will tell.

Brian, a YouTube golf star himself, had a suggestion.
“One thing I personally want to see from Phil Mickelson's channel is that everyone has watched your games for the past 30 years,” he said. “I don't want you to take away our enjoyment of watching you play. So I need to see you where you excel. I'm really looking forward to catching up [on] Progress on Phil Mickeson and the HyFlyers YouTube channel.
“Wes, it's funny you say that,” Mixon said. “I haven't been playing the way I wanted to play the past few years. By taking four months off and developing a game plan, I believe I can get to where I was when I was 30.” .I don’t know if that’s going to be the case this year, but I’m going to really push to compete at the highest level, and that means fine-tuning every aspect of my game, including driving, including speed, including putting, etc. The bunt game is back to its true sharpness – at its highest level.
