Unfortunately, the only legitimate selling point the team has proposed may actually be exaggerated. Anthony Di Marco, an insider of the daily standoff, said the team was willing to increase but told fans not to expect a “big fish”.

My personal gain is that flyers may continue on the way forward. Let the talent go away and spend a lot on their bottom six. If this report is ultimately accurate, the best scenario is to add a second-line player.

Now, flyers should not be criticized until they actually do something to win it. The 2025 NHL draft is still one month, and free agents are even more distant. However, here the danger of the status quo is preserved.

If the flyers want to go in the right direction, they might want to see the defending Stanley Cup champion. Florida’s cost-effective fourth line contributes to their way of winning. If Philadelphia could copy it, they would have more breathing room caps to bring in people like Marner.
