Premier League brings Tottenham Hotspur fixtures to grant them equal recovery time with Manchester United’s El Final

The Premier League has approved Tottenham Hotspur’s request to move its match at Aston Villa to Friday, May 16.

The Spurs requested that the fixture be brought up for two days so that they could give them more time to prepare for next Wednesday’s Europa League final against Manchester United.

United’s game at Chelsea was scheduled for Friday that weekend – although there is now a new kick-off time – and the Premier League moves have made both clubs equal before the possibility of Bilbas clash.

Although not confirmed yet – the second leg of the semi-final was held this Thursday, it appears to be Manchester United’s final.

United had a stunning 3-0 victory at Athletic Bilbao last week, while the Spurs overcame Bodo/Glimt 3-1 in North London.

The fixture changes will affect the matches that will win Champions League football next season, with Chelsea and Villa chasing the top five.

Villa is believed to have opposed Tottenham’s request to play as it was their last home game of the season, so they plan to have many pre-planned family events on Sunday afternoon.

When can I play the fixtures now?

Aston Villa v Tottenham Hotspur – May 16 (7.30pm)

Chelsea v Manchester United – May 16 (8.15pm)

Can I watch games on TV or via stream?

Yes, both games will be filtered by Sky Sports and will be used on the Sky Go app.
