'Raise your right hand': Ryan Garcia rubs salt into Haney's wounds with social media post

Ryan Garcia posted a spoof photo on X of himself holding a child who looks like Devin Haney. Garcia said his “son” asked Santa to teach him to keep his “right hand raised.” The image looks artificially generated, but looks too similar to Honey.

Haney and Garcia have been feuding since last April. Devin is still bitter about his loss, while Ryan is unhappy that the New York State Athletic Commission vacated his win after he tested positive for a banned substance.

The dispute intensified

This was Ryan's way of taunting Haney (31-0, 15 KOs), who failed to raise his right hand to block his powerful left hook, which he used three times during the April 20 fight. Knock him down.

Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) couldn't miss with his left hook, and Devin looked too distracted to stop his weapon. Devin lost the fight by majority decision in 12 rounds and has not been seen in the ring since. That loss put a damper on Haney's career, and it remains to be seen whether he can return.

Bill Haney has been furious and talking vitriolic trash since Devin lost to Garcia. Devin spent most of his time behind the scenes, training as usual and keeping a low profile.

He appears to have moved on and is preparing for the next step when he returns to the ring in 2025. It might help if Bill settled with Ryan, dropped the lawsuit, focused on the great cause, and arranged a rematch for Devin.
