It’s a bit quiet on the Rangers lately, isn’t it? Russell Martin was unveiled as the new manager a week ago, but since then, Ibrox has reported little, and supporters are eager to see a new signing or two through the door.
On Tuesday, the Wanderers will learn about their identity as the first opponent of the Martin era and learn about their identity as the Champions League second round qualifier and play on July 22/23.
Will Gers play a big game if it needs to take action quickly in the transfer market?
Rangers target new midfielder
This summer, new managers can target a wide range of youth and experiences. Jamie Vardy has been touted to Ibrox, but he is not the only Premier League in the club’s crosshairs.
According to football insider Mick Brown, the Wanderer is “considering” the move to sign midfielder Christian Eriksen this summer, who believes he can “play a well-planned role.”
The 33-year-old, a free agent, left Manchester United after his contract expired but still showed his quality on a Danish shirt this week, against Northern Ireland in Paken and then a win against Northern Ireland in Odes in a friendly victory in DeRød-Hvide.
So, data analyst David O’Brien believes Eriksen remains a “world-class organizer” and so signing him will represent the Rangers’ massive coup, although the salary may be a stumbling block as he considers Manchester United earns £150,000 a week.
Still, his arrival will excite Ibrox’s faithful excitement, especially considering that he will be reminiscent of past fan favorites.
How Eriksen imitates Brian Laudrup in Rangers
Some Brian Laudrup joined Fiorentina’s Rangers for £2.3 million in the summer of 1994, which is undoubtedly a reliable investment, widely regarded as one of the Rangers’ greatest modern players and one of their most talented and talented entertainers.
Eriksen’s fellow countrymen won the European Championship two years ago, playing for the Light Blues 150 times, scoring 44 goals, winning three league titles, the Scottish Cup, one league cup, and was named SFWA Football Player of the Year and was named Scottish Football Hall in 2006.
Rangers Review’s Derek Clark tag Laudrup is the greatest player in Scottish football ever, while Scottish Football’s Craig Williams outlines Denmark International’s “special” Denmark International is a true club legend.
So, can Eriksen have a similar influence with his fellow countrymen?
Well, at his best, Sky Sports’ Adam Smith believes Eriksen is the “Premier League’s Best Midfielder”, while Opta’s The Analyst’s Duncan Alexander agrees that he has labeled “the most effective offensive midfielder” in Premier League history, earning 81 assists in the game.

Eriksen made appearances at the 649 club in Ajax, Tottenham, Brentford and Manchester United, and like Laudrup, with serious bloodlines.
However, at the age of 33, he may be worried about being on the mountain. Well, let’s start the season with his statistics to see if that’s the case.

As the table outlines, while United’s total this season is only 31.6%, Eriksen is actually one of their most impressive performers, ranking highly in goals and assists, as well as metrics related to creating opportunities, passing and shooting accuracy.
After the Red Devils beat Aston Villa on the last day of the Premier League season, Eriksen talked about his future “we will see” and added that “there is a choice” but has not been decided yet, and may not have been decided, possibly opening the door to Glasgow.
Of course, this is ambitious, but the Wanderer does have history in recruiting the Greater Danes, and Eriksen will certainly make an impact if he chooses to take action to go to Govan.
