The Glasgow Rangers season may be over, and although spring is still a few weeks away, there does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel on the Ibrox side.
Recently, it was reported that 49 businesses are looking for potential takeovers from homeless people led by Paraag Marathe.
Dave King is the club’s largest shareholder with a 12.97% stake – eager to sell to the U.S. consortium, while other shareholders such as Douglas Park and George Taylor own more than 10% Shares.
If everything is planned to be done before the summer transfer window and after Philippe Clement is fired, the entire club might feel completely different.
While there is no need for major overhauls to the game team this summer, it is clear that as their time at the club comes to an ending naturally, it is necessary to move forward.
Rabbi Matondo appeared on loan at 96 Hannover, Germany, while Ben Davies led the city’s promotion this semester. If both are glittering, then the light blue will surely be able to cash in on the player.
There is a couple that remains part of the team that the Belgians have to cash out this summer, especially as it represents the ultimate opportunity.
Rangers High Income Who 49 Must Get Away
James Tavernier is the most famous example. His contract expires at the end of the 2025/26 season, which suggests moving him this summer will allow Gers to recover their fees.
Last season, Tavernier scored 24 goals while providing another 12 assists in all light blue games. This means it’s his best season since he arrived in Glasgow nine years ago.
Still, Tavernier helped the club win a lonely trophy – the League Cup – as they lost to the Celtics in the Celtics’ championship and the Scottish Cup final.
The captain failed to inspire any of his championships, and the discomfort continued until the season.
Indeed, the domestic season is almost over, and the glory of Europe seems like a dream at best. In the process, the right back registered only 14 goals in all games to contribute – four goals and ten assists.
Last summer, the British were very interested. At one stage, Steven Gerrard hoped to reunite with his former captain, but the relocation to Saudi Arabia was not fulfilled.
Later, in the transfer window, another former ranger manager, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, showed interest in bringing the defender to Besiktas, but This move happened again, and he stayed at the club in the first half of the first half.
He hasn’t performed well on the court for the current season, and has recently achieved his final performance in a dismal show with the second-tier Queens Park.
Indeed, Glasgow World received only 2/10 of the match rating, missing a free throw against the championship outfit, which would make the match rated for time.
Light Blue may not charge a huge fee this summer, but it may be crucial to get him off his salary bill by 2025/26.
Tavernier isn’t the only player who should leave the Rangers
He isn’t the only one who earns a good salary without supporting on the court. Kieran Dowell may be on loan but he failed to shine in Glasgow.
Michael Beale received services from Kieran Dowell in a pre-contract agreement in 2023. On the surface, it looks like a good signing. Dowell has played 21 Premier League appearances in the spells of Everton and Norwich, and he also won the England U20 World Cup in 2017.
His first season at Ibrox was not good. Dowell made only 17 appearances for the club and failed to impress Beale or Clement, with only 3 goals in the process.
The first half of 2024/25 was almost much better. He only entered the starting XI 18 times and only 3 times, and it was obvious that he was not trusted by the manager.
Dowell’s salary at Ibrox is currently £16,000 a week, which is incredible as he contributes very little on the court.
By the end of January, Dowell was announced to join Birmingham until the campaign ended to place himself in the store’s window.

If he was the starring actor on the league side, then Rangers would be able to sell him this summer.
Kieran Dowell begins his life in Birmingham
Dowell has played eight times for the Blues, scoring once and getting assists, helping the team reach the EFL Trophy finals in the process.
In the third division of British football, Doyle scored 2.4 shots per game and created a great opportunity for Birmingham and averaged 1.6 key passes per game.
The British were impressive in the club’s recent victory over Bradford in the semifinals of the EFL Trophy.
Not only did he make three key passes throughout the game, but the former Everton sensation conveyed three crosses and made 50 touches.
If he can continue to shine south, then in a few months the summer transfer window will open and there will be many suitors. This is a certainty.
The move toward the Rangers looks promising on the surface, but it hasn’t reached the expected good form and it’s time for Clement to get rid of it before 2025/26.
With potential investments from 49er, GERS can make some important signings before the start of next season.
However, lowering your payroll bills remains a priority, which means people like Tavernier and Dowell must be moved as soon as possible rather than later.
