Lucas Bergvall said it was a pleasant experience to be praised by Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola.
The young Tottenham Hotspur midfielder admired the Spanish coach after his impressive performance against Manchester City in late February, despite the Spurs’ 1-0 defeat at home.
When Tottenham had a frustrating night, Bergwal’s performance in midfield was the highlight of Ange Postecoglou.
His impact on the game attracted Guardiola’s attention, who highly praised Swedish International at a post-match press conference.
“Bergvar, whenever he gets the ball and runs, he can’t stop it.”
“Spence, Pedro Porro, Udogie, Kulusevski, Son. It’s an incredible body team with a clear idea and they’re doing very well.”
Lucas Bergvall: “Honestly, I don’t think it’s a fair season. Don’t think about how much harm we’ve suffered. I don’t know what the reason is, but as we said with Dejan, there are a lot of people playing for a lot of minutes. It’s not human. pic.twitter.com/ojhxydeeor

Currently, Bergvall is currently being asked about Guardiola’s remarks within his international responsibilities and shares his views on gaining this recognition.
“Of course, it’s fun, but it doesn’t matter,” he told SVT Sport. “I just tried to play football and kept growing and helping the team. It’s always fun to get compliments and you should take it. But I try not to overemphasize it.”
Despite Tottenham’s struggles this season, the club ranks 14th in the Premier League, but the appearance of Bergwal and young man Archie Gray has brought some optimism.
Postecoglou has to drive during an injury-ridden season, and Bergvall believes that the situation is particularly challenging for some players.
“Honestly, I don’t think it’s a fair season. Don’t think about how much harm we’ve suffered. I don’t know what the reason is. [Kulusevski]many people played incredible minutes. This is not human, so it is certainly a big factor. ”
On the international stage, Bergvall made four senior appearances for Sweden, but the game has not yet begun.
But that will soon change as national team coach Jon Dahl Tomasson confirmed that he will be in the starting lineup for the friendly against Luxembourg in Sweden.
“It’s fun, but it’s not that much I think,” Bergwal said. “Jon and I have talked a little bit, but nothing is more specific than that, we think I’ll do it on the days here.
