Liverpool manager Arne Slot said he will not be diverted as the Premier League champions prepare to face Brighton on Monday night.
Right back Trent Alexander-Arnold has finally announced that he will leave Anfield this summer, linked to the moves of several replacements.
The latest report is that the Reds are expected to trigger the 35 million euro issuance terms of Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong – but Slot said he is not in a hurry to join his team.
“It’s all about contract extensions throughout the season and now everyone wants to know who comes in.
“We don’t talk about it in public until we sign the autograph, and then you can ask me all the things about it. ConorBradley can play right back, Joe Gomez, so it’s not like Trent leaving I don’t know what to do, but we’re always watching the fun players, who can improve our team.
“You think we are bringing in new players? We are very happy with the players we have.
“It’s our decision, but some players aren’t expecting another season that doesn’t play, so it’s an ongoing process, so if we can strengthen the team, we have to be prepared, but it’s difficult because we have a reason to win the league – because we have a lot of great players. This club has shown so many times in the past and we’re going to make the right decision.”

Alexander-Arnold was ridiculed by part of the Anfield crowd as a substitute for Arsenal, but Slot longs for everyone to move on.
“People talked about this to me, we got reactions from fans at the stadium, experts talked about it, and now let’s draw a line and focus on the fact that we won the league and focused on that feeling and were distracted by Trent’s situation.”
Liverpool can only be the ninth goal in every match in the UK’s top matches, with only the fourth in the South Coast goals in 2001-02 (19 matches) and 1930-31 Arsenal (1930-31) (21 matches), only the fourth in the league with at least 20 teams.
