Everyone has scoring barriers that they want to break through. First, you focus on breaking 100 and then turn your eyes to breaking 90 and then breaking 80. The ultimate scoring barrier to break is par – a feat that can only be achieved by a small number of golfers.
Breaking through these scoring obstacles is a milestone in any golfer’s journey – whatever the obstacle it is, the elation remains the same.
What doesn’t keep the same is the skills required to break these barriers. Of course, you will always build what you learned in previous conquests, but you need to emphasize that the skills to break each continuous barrier are different.
Below, the top 100 teachers, Joey Wuertemberger, shares some simple course management tips and strategies that you can use scoring barriers in your next task.
Every golfer has personal barriers they strive to break (100, 90, 80, par). Achieving these goals may come from improving your swing, but course management strategies are also crucial. Here is a strategy I recommend to help you break the next barrier.
Break 100: Keep it simple
Tee Tew thisit- Play a set of T-shirts that suit your game. The goal is to enable you to shoot within 150 yards. This will relieve stress and increase your chances of hitting some greens in the conditioning.
Play for bogey – Remember that if you bogey each hole, you will easily break 100. Learn the hole and get out of trouble before kick-off. Your goal is to keep the ball in the game – even if your club choices endanger the distance and eliminate the fines in the card. Don’t be a hero when you’re in trouble! Take the medication and immediately return the ball to the fairway and keep your round on track.
Up and down 3- A simple chip lens can add 100 chances to break 100. We want to miss the green chips, we need a trusted chip that gives us the chance to put the ball no more than two times and complete the hole. Try using a pitch wedge or sand wedge, which puts the ball slightly in the position, with the weight biased towards the forward legs, focusing on the downward blow. When you are in green, give priority to the line, which will increase your chances of two stimulations.
Break 90: Avoid double boggies at all costs
Eliminate fines – Avoid expensive water hazards and range. Stay away from trouble and conservative shots around, so you won’t make round mistakes. Dial in a wedge – Within 100 yards, you should start developing a system to control distance and rotation. Restrictive mental errors – Learn how to control your attitude and take advantage of frustration in the course. A bad decision can lead to a large number – so stay disciplined and follow your strategy.
Breaking the standard: Take advantage of scoring opportunities
Strategy for specific courses – There is a plan to learn how you want to attack the course. Know when to be aggressive and when to be conservative. Elite players took advantage of 5 shots. To break par, you may need at least one birdie throughout the round.
Make six 3- Hit the middle of the green 3 and make the four pars patient, be patient and use the shorter 4 4. If you can get six 3s throughout the round, you can break par.
More upwards in the 100 yards – Focus on the opportunity to convert birdies with wedges and make putts more aggressive within 10 feet. In this task, limiting three and putting within 5 feet is crucial.
