The Chicago Blackhawks hosted the Los Angeles Kings at the United Center on Monday, March 3. The Blackhawks had a 6-3 victory with the Anaheim Ducks (March 1) and the Kings tried to convert a 4-1 loss to St. Louis Blues (also on March 1). This is the second matchup of the two teams this season. The Blackhawks won 4-3 in the Nov. 2 gunfight.
As it turns out, the Blackhawks also appeared with a 5-1 victory this time. This is the highlight.
The Knight survived the first stage
The big news for Chicago in this game was the debut of the Blackhawks’ Netminder Spencer Knight, which was received from the Florida Panthers in the Seth Jones trade. As the king’s speed and passion began, Knight often tested it. They registered nine shots on the goal before the Blackhawks finished first.

Less than a minute later, the Kings answered, when Captain Anze Kopitar defeated Knight alone in front of the Blackhawks’ defense.

At the end of the first phase, both teams tied a knot with one goal. Despite Chicago’s two powerful games in that frame, the Kings’ goal against the Blackhawks’ seven-pointer was named 17 shots. Warren Foegele of the Kings contributed five shots to the goal!

The Hawks shot 6-1 from the field before the Kings scored a strong game in the second inning 6:29. But they couldn’t capitalize, and Chicago extended the lead to 3-1, when defender Ethan del Mastro’s shot fell on the defender’s skating game.

It was definitely a Chicago period, scoring two goals for the Kings’ Zero. But the Kings were doing their best to stay in the game, throwing nine shots at the Blackhawks in that frame.
The third phase of push is not enough to accommodate the king
The Blackhawks wanted to keep that momentum, and they did it when Andreas Athanasiou proposed a goal early in the third phase to a 4-1 run.

Donato added an empty net goal late in the game to reach the deal. During this time, he almost scored goals, but bounced within both positions.
The Kings shot 16 shots at the Blackhawks in the third phase, and the final shot was 42-19. But the Blackhawks still walked away with a 5-1 victory.

The knight stole the night
There is no doubt. This evening was linked to the Netminder Cavaliers in his Blackhawks debut. The 23-year-old Connecticut native stopped 41 of 41 goals in the win, earning a savings percentage of .976. It’s safe to say that the Blackhawks may have found their future goalkeeper.
